Yes, Jessica Simpson is indeed pregnant again with her second child, just seven months after welcoming daughter Maxwell. She also managed to lose 60 pounds of babyweight following her pregnancy while on a healthy diet and collecting $4 million from a Weight Watchers are their celebrity sponsor. I would say all in all she had a very productive 7 months!
Many people might think, wow, what a waste to lose all that weight just to gain it back again in another pregnancy. However, Dieticians and Obstetrians would disagree since starting her pregnancy at a lower heathy weight gives her a far greater chance of a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Just by getting her body in the healthy weight range she has lowered her change of gestational diabetes and preclasmia. Also, I’m sure her hard work will not be thrown out the window during this pregnancy as she will no doubt be exercising more and paying more attention to her diet and pregnancy weight gain.
One of the things I love about Jessica Simpson is that she is so down to earth. We know friends all the time (maybe even ourselves) who gain more the recommended weight during pregnancy or who get pregnant unexpectantly or very quickly after having a baby. Jessica is not above admitting all of these things happen to her as well and she just seems to take it in stride with a smile and a sense of humor, showing us that she is the “girl next door.”
