When I think of stylish sophistication, subtle sexiness, and pregnancy, I immediately think of Amy Adams. Incredibly talented, beautiful, and expecting her first baby (with fiance Darren Le Gallo) this spring, Amy is one stylish expectant mother. Although I love her as her endearing characters in Enchanted and Julie & Julia and was extremely impressed by her Oscar nominated role in Doubt, I simply cannot stop raving about her pregnancy wardrobe. From a casual day around town to the Golden Globes, Amy looks radiant, maintaining her signature classic style throughout her pregnancy.
For casual wear, Amy has stayed stylish and comfortable throughout her pregnancy. In the earlier months, she was spotted on a shopping trip in a cute plaid top and boot-cut jean. Her top is perfect for a casual outing. Its loose shape is comfortable while not overwhelming her frame, and the trendy plaid pattern creates visual interest. This top combined with a pair of fitted boot-cut jeans is the perfect combination, as the structure of the jeans is balanced out by the loose-fitting top. The boot-cut jean tends to be the most universally flattering jean, since it balances out the entire shape of the leg, and a dark wash denim is incredibly figure flattering.
If you are just beginning to show and are not quite ready for a maternity jean, grab a Bellaband to wear over the waist of your pre-pregnancy jeans, and you will be comfortable and fashionable. Amy was spotted in another flattering and comfortable daytime outfit in early January, combining black leggings with a long empire-waist top. The leggings are a great option, particularly as you get farther along in your pregnancy and want a bit more stretch. Paired with a flowing top (yet with an empire waist to emphasize the smallest part of the torso), this outfit is both comfy and flattering!
From daywear to evening wear, Amy makes a seamless transition. In early January, Amy premiered her romantic comedy Leap Year and truly demonstrated the definition of red carpet maternity fashion. In a stunning red dress which hit just below the knee, she could not have looked more beautiful! This dress works for so many reasons. One, the fabric has movement and does not cling to her body. Secondly, the empire waist, cinched by a wide ribbon, defines the thinnest part of her body while celebrating her baby bump. Finally, the intricate neckline provides a frame for her gorgeous face. This dress is a great style for an expectant mother at any special occasion!
At the Golden Globes, Amy chose a similar style dress yet with a more structured feel. Once again, the empire-waist, knee length dress created a beautiful shape on her body and the wide shoulder strap provided bust support. With a thicker fabric, the dress provides excellent structure and a truly refined look. I love that her hair is pulled back, as it showcases her face and creates a sleek look. From cocktail parties to galas, a dress in this cut is incredibly figure flattering.
A final piece in Amy’s wardrobe that really grabbed my attention was the beautiful coat she wore to the taping of The David Letterman Show in January. Grey with red piping on the belt, this coat was flattering and stylish. The empire waist was perfect for her growing belly, while the structured shoulders added shape and definition. This coat is a great way to pull together an outfit!
Amy Adams is an incredibly talented actress who looks radiant both onscreen and off. Her pregnancy style, like her acting, is impeccable and I cannot wait to see her new baby this spring.

The French competitor, 31, and her partner Olivier Schoenfelder, 32, were the 2008 world champions. Last night’s Olympic performance in the Free Skate was the “Last Dance” of their 20-year skating partnership.
With this variety in guests and interests, it is a good idea to have a multitude of games which are fun and lighthearted, and easy for anyone to play. Having games prepared in advance will also keep the conversation flowing and ensure that everyone is having a good time, leaving you time to relax and enjoy the party. Choose a few of your favorites from the list of games, and you can be sure the party will be a hit!
These games are sure to be fun and get everyone involved! Although it is often fun to include prizes, we all know that this can get expensive. Prizes are not a requirement, but if you would like to do so there are several options. First, make sure the prizes are small. A nice bar of soap, some chocolates, or a candle are great options. If you would like to have more prizes, you can always ask each guest to bring a small wrapped gift (under five or ten dollars) and pass these out to each winner. No matter your budget, there are ways to make it work!
who is 5½ months pregnant. This makes Moore the third pregnant athlete to compete in the modern-era Olympics and the first to compete well into her 2nd trimester.
In a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, Moore said her pregnancy has not impacted her ability to participate on the team, but may have been more of an issue if she was closer to her due date:
Due in March, she remains comfortable by wearing soft, stretchy fabrics yet fashionable with stylish designs and great accessories.
Looking comfortable yet chic, she was the epitome of maternity fashion. Japanese Weekend’s
With an intriguing neckline drawing the eye upwards and fabric stretching comfortably over the belly, this dress was a red carpet hit. For a similar look, the

For an expectant mom so close to her due date, this outfit is a great option. The leggings are stretchy and comfortable, ensuring you will not feel restricted throughout your busy day. A cute flowy top draws the attention upward and also balances out the tightness of the leggings. A good rule of thumb: if you are wearing something tighter on the bottom go looser on the top, or vice versa! This breaks up one’s look, ensuring that the overall appearance is not too tight or too loose. A blazer adds structure and shape to the outfit, and truly pulls the look together. (From leggings to jeans, from casual to sophisticated, a fitted blazer adds structure to any outfit and is one of my favorite ways to pull an outfit together). For a finishing touch she adds a gorgeous statement necklace and some cute boots, and the look is complete! This is a great look for the day when paired with ballet flats, or can easily be dressed up for evening with more jewelry and different shoes!
An empire waist dress is always a great choice for expectant mothers, particularly as they get farther along in their pregnancy. It creates a gorgeous shape, emphasizing the smallest part of your body yet celebrating your baby bump. The sweetheart neckline and intricate twisted cinching under the bust add a special look to her dress. Although with her hair worn down the dress looks strapless, there are actually thin straps to ensure comfort. The extra support of the straps is a great idea so that you will not be concerned about your dress moving around. The final aspect of Kourtney’s dress which I love is the length. The maxi dress, with a high empire waist, elongates the line of the body, creating a more streamlined looked. It also skims the body, creating a feminine flowing look, and will provide endless comfort.
1 in the Oven has some wonderful cotton Hospital Gowns in both short and long sleeve. These gowns are far more flattering than the ones you get at the hospital and have built in slits in the front pleats for nursing access. They come in some beautiful pastel shades and now in organic cotton as well.
They are also sized as S/M and L/XL which helps in attaining a better fit than the one size fits all you get at the hospital. These gowns are designed to be worn during surgery, labor delivery and outpatient treatment. They also have snaps along the shoulders which make for easy nursing access without opening in the pleats which is nice when you are not nursing and don’t wont to worry about “popping out” which is often a problem with the typical hospital gown.
